I had not realized how often I did not clearly state what I needed. My attempts to communicate were very indirect complaints instead. Perhaps others would find the training in nonviolent communication by Marshall Rosenberg very helpful. I am beginning to catch myself speaking Jackal when I really want to speak Giraffe.
