So I took myself to a nearby church. Turned out it was the original Millerites, the Advent Christian Church. I learned a lot about the Bible but then rejected all of it at 14 because they said my parents would burn up in the fire that only members of my church would avoid when the time spoken of in the Book of Revelation came to pass. How could a loving God only save this small group of people, 22,000 in the US (the late 1950s)? There’s always faith in some inexplicable things in any religion, but that idea wasn’t plausible to me. Also, to your point, Jesus Himself said, “No one has seen God at any time…” Interesting. Bahá’u’lláh put it all together for me. Thank God!
