If you want to celebrate with song, parts of the prayer for Naw-Rúz have been set to music for group singing and is available on the YouTube channel, “Bahá’ís sing together.” Enjoy! And happy Naw-Rúz to everyone. By the way, I found out from a meteorologist that spring really starts with the first day Fast. Naw-Rúz is the vernal equinox, but spring is already here!

It is with abundant and overflowing joy that I have greeted this day; brought smiles and happiness to all I meet, gifts to neighbours and friends, and joy to the heart to all who were able to listen with capacity. A dear Zoroastrian colleague was so relieved he said to finally encounter another person who understood what Naw Ruz is as a concept! A lovely and warm Ugandan Christian friend could not help exclaiming his pleasure in finding so much common ground. A cultural Hindu colleague suggested a series of meetings over coffee to explore more. Another from a similar background kept asking thirstily for more information. A small stone, thrown into the still waters of a pond, creates ripples that travel far … oh, the joy! 🙂
