Yet our generation struggles to fully appreciate the immense scope and significance of His Revelation, standing too close to perceive its grandeur. \u201cThe world\u2019s equilibrium hath been upset through the vibrating influence of this most great, this new World Order. Mankind\u2019s ordered life hath been revolutionized through the agency of this unique, this wondrous System\u2014the like of which mortal eyes have never witnessed.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

People often respond to new ideas with hesitation or rejection, drawn instead to the comfort of the familiar. This tendency can obscure recognition of spiritual truth when it first appears.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Overcoming Materialism: A Barrier to Spiritual Growth<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

A significant obstacle to perceiving the Revelation of Baha\u2019u\u2019llah is the dominance of materialism in modern life. The relentless pursuit of wealth and pleasure distracts from spiritual understanding. Yet Baha\u2019u\u2019llah reminds humanity of its higher purpose:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cNoble have I created thee, yet thou hast abased thyself. Rise then unto that for which thou wast created.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Through devotional gatherings, study circles, children\u2019s classes, youth programs, and service projects, Baha\u2019i communities are fostering spaces where spiritual principles and social action meet. These initiatives lay the foundations for a just and peaceful global society\u2014proving that grassroots change is not only possible but already underway.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Most Great Peace: The Ultimate Goal<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Baha\u2019i Faith teaches that humanity is in transition\u2014from division to unity. Baha\u2019u\u2019llah\u2019s teachings form the framework for this transformation and offer practical solutions to global problems. Yet the full realization of His vision will unfold gradually, like a seed growing into a mighty tree.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Abdu\u2019l-Baha described this process:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe gift of God to this enlightened age is the knowledge of the oneness of mankind and of the fundamental oneness of religion. Wars shall cease between nations, and by the will of God, the Most Great Peace shall come.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

The Universal House of Justice, the Faith\u2019s international governing body, has echoed this promise:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWorld peace is not only possible but inevitable.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

And it has offered this sobering truth:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWhether peace is to be reached only after unimaginable horrors precipitated by humanity\u2019s stubborn clinging to old patterns of behavior, or is to be embraced now by an act of consultative will, is the choice before all who inhabit the earth.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n
